f4j gives this error sometimes when I try to compile one of our applications.  
f4j will also give the error after it has compiled and the app is executing 
from the ide.  The application was developed in java 1.2.2 on f4j 1.02 and we 
are now using f4j 2.0 (with the most current updates in place) and java 1.3.  
Development takes place on a Dell Precision 420 with dual 866 P3's running 
Windows 2000 Professional with current patches installed.  The error is toward 
the bottom and occures after the following lines:
