This is an umberella task to tack issues that need
to be resolved to simplify plugin development.

The simplication will consist of:
- make optional parts really optional
  - server registry UI
  - jsr88
  - server specific configuration (kill ConfigDO)
- allow ant based deployment w/o jsr88

more details to come..

Make this issue depend on any issues that require
API or architectural changes or are otherwise
blocking simpler plugin development.

I know this isn't p1, but don't have any clue what the priority value should be.... i would guess p4 or p5 at this point.
