Description nicolamontecchio 2010-07-23 09:59:28 UTC
I'm using a new MacBook pro with snow leopard (10.6.4), a fresh install of basic netbeans with java SE and the C/C++ plugin installed.
If I add the python plugin, when I close netbeans the updater does its work and restarts the IDE. The problem is that this cycle seems infinite, i.e. I can't close netbeans without the updater coming up again and restarting the IDE. I have to kill the process (two java instances) via shell.

I had the exact same issue with my previous computer, a MacBook running the latest non-snow leopard, and that prompted me to switch to eclipse :(

I'm sorry you had difficulties. While we are still experiencing exceptions, the issue you described has been fixed.

This is now a community-supported project, endeavoring to return Python support to NetBeans. For more, see https://netbeans.org/projects/python/pages/Home
