Product Version = NetBeans IDE Dev (Build nbms-and-javadoc-5070-on-100412)
Operating System = Windows 7 version 6.1 running on x86
Java; VM; Vendor = 1.6.0_18
Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 16.0-b13

Tested with php and js files. Sometimes it works good, sometimes code coloring disappears, then reappears in small block of text, near the caret. Editor starts to slow down significantly, memory usage increases. IDE needs to be restarted, or it works worse and worse. Reopening files doesn't help. When you continue work after coloring problems appear - IDE gets slower until it freezes, with maximum CPU load. I don't know if it can be reproduced with smaller projects, I use quite big AJAX/PHP app. Coloring fails even on small files. I haven't noticed any patern in those failures, they appear to be random.
