From the Plugins Manager's Installed tab, the following are listed. "python.options" may not be needed for listing here.

Yes, this does sound like a bug - I also came across this. The fix should be to add the following to the python.options
manifest:

AutoUpdate-Show-In-Client: false

The current issue has been FIXED in the manner described by Petr. Thank you.
