Open the property sheet on some folder.  It has a sort order property.  One of 
the entries is "By Name (Packages First)".  Maybe change Packages->Folders -
 "Packages" is only meaningful to a java ide, and doesn't make much sense in 
the platform.

Hrm, it would be simple enough to make the modified string part of IDE branding...
