Description navneet 2001-02-24 11:05:34 UTC
I see the Convert to Text menu in the right click of a file. But if I want to
revert it, I need to go to the Tools option to find Convert to Default.

This is an inconsistency. Please make the Convert to Default available in the
same place as the Convert to text.

This action is not part of the javacvs module. IMHO it's a text module issue.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Note: Yes this belongs to text module.

As designed. Convert to Text is default action on default data objects since
they don't have some other "interesting" actions, you can't do anything with
them, so offering them to be converted as default has sense. Even first when the
action appeared, it was under tools as well but, it was wanted to become
default. On the other hand

text objects has their default action open, which is constistent across IDE
since all objects which implement an open cookie has open as default action.
Also not all text objects can be converted to default ones. This applies only to
those which were defaults first.
Therefore I'll close this issue as wont fix.

Navneet, if you feel that the above isn't right, please open a thread at [nbui],
or [nbusers], and we'll see what people would prefer.
