I saw other NPE type bugs reported on refactoring, but not specifically with the
project tree. Perhaps same root cause. See attached stack trace.

It's duplicate of issue 93466 and it should be fixed now. If it occurres again
in current trunk build, feel free to reopen original issue. Thanks for your report
