This is a known problem with the Oracle JDBC driver. That driver does not properly implement the method getParameterMetaData(), which is necessary to execute a parameterized query. That's the meaning of the error message. Until Oracle fixes the drivers, there's not much that the Visual Editor can do to support query execution. I've changed this to an Enhancement, and set resolution as REMIND, but it's unlikely that we will try to work around this. Incidentally, drivers like Derby do implement the necessary methods, so queries can be execute from within the editor. |
