Where have you got this version? It is not clear to me what installer you use. What build of Vista do you use? Is it some RC or is it released version? Our installers are based on InstallShield 11 Universal and it does NOT run on 64bit JDK. It should work on 32bit JDK. I got the installer at the next address: http://java.sun.com/javaee/downloads/index.jsp (Java Aplication Platform SDK -> "Download with tools"). I was also trying with the "netbeans-5_5-rc2-windows" installer, and it didn't work either. My current version of Vista is: 6.0.5600 Build 5600 (Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate), RC1. My JDK version is: build 1.6.0-rc-b103 (It's already set in the CLASSPATH, JAVA_HOME and Path Envirnomental Variables ). I have both, the 64bit JDK and the 32bit JDK installed. Ok. Please first check if Compatibility modefor installer exe is switched off. Win Vista RC1 for some reason switches Win XP compatibility mode on for our installer exe. It must not be switched on. Also switch Compatibility mode off in "Setting for all users". (To do that invoke popup menu on installer exe, go to Properties dialog and select Compatibility tab.) No response regarding compatibility mode. I assume it is duplicate of issue #85361. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 85361 *** |
