Reproduction:

 Open WS attributes, select username validator, press OK
 Open wsit.xml, there's a namespace with /client corresponding to the service
assertion

How do you get to the "username validator"?

There are no service validators in new ui, there may be a plan to re-add them,
thus keeping this open and lowering priority.

validators introduced again, should be generated to correct namespace now
