After adding javadoc documentation via Tools-->Java Platform Manager the javadoc
works in .java files, but not in the JSP editor.

I guess that installing a J2EE platform in the platform manager, and putting the
javadoc there would solve the problem.

IMHO downloading and installing the J2EE platform only to get javadoc in JSP
editor should not be mandatory. There should be a way to associate javadoc to
the web sources.

This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.
