Build: NB 5.5 Beta2 (Build 200607190830, Ent.Pack 2006.07.19)

Steps to reproduce it:

1. Create AsynchronousSample sample app.
2. Resolve the reference problem.
3. Deploy AsynchronousSampleApplication.
4. Run test case "NewTestcase0".

Test FAILED, but when I tried to run "Diff" to see why the test failed, I 
couldn't find the actual output file. Tried the same steps on a Mac OS 
machine, got the same result.

Sample SynchronousSample doesn't have this issue. 
Sample TRS can't be deployed (IZ 80778), don't know if the same issue in TRS 
sample or not. Will check it after bug 80778 is fixed.

I suppose this is a generic problem - no output is generated for the tests. The
same happens with Sync project and other sample processes

That is not correct. I did get actual output file when I ran SynchronousSample test.

I think this also happens using other applications, sometime for other test cases.
I don't know why but it does not happens all the time.
I created a SynchronousSample from scratch and when I run the testcase the
output is empty.

The originally reported problem is a duplicate of 80610. No output is generated
because of an assertion failure in running the test. I can't build
AsynchronousSample now because of some validation error, but I can still see the
same error on TRS. 

The SynchronousSample problem that Sherry reported was fixed on 7/25. See IZ 81118.

Issue # 80779 should have marked as dependent on 80610, instead of closing the
first issue as duplicate of other.

Fixed in the installer build 060728.

Verified the bug is fixed in continuous build 060728_24 + app server installed
in nighly build 060728
