Copying the case from issue 72611 (2c):

Problem:
Your target platform is the IDE, but you have non-platform clusters disabled in
your suite. You run a wizard which would require a dep on the Project API.

Solution:
Allow the wizard to finish and create a dep on the Project API in the affected
module. Trying to build the module will result in an error that the module is
excluded from the application. The user can fix this in the suite customizer,
 along with any other dependencies.
Comment 1 Martin Krauskopf 2006-08-10 11:20:46 UTC
There are already clever warnings in customizers and during a module build about
dependencies discrepancies.
Comment 2 Martin Krauskopf 2008-02-07 17:49:50 UTC
I'm not working on APISupport anymore. Reassigning to owner of the component, so
the issue is not 'forgotten' forever.
Comment 3 rmichalsky 2008-07-29 15:36:26 UTC
I don't think that any wizard that renders user's project uncompilable is a good one, even with helpful error message.
The wizard should warn user about enabling the module, but should IMHO enable it automatically.

Not into 7.0 or next release. Feel free to reopen if more important than it seems.
Comment 5 rmichalsky 2008-11-24 15:12:22 UTC
A mistake, sorry.
