[ BUILD # : 200511211900 ]
[ JDK VERSION : 1.4.2_xx ]

Hi, when I open a new file, then close the associated tab, focus is placed at the rightmost tab. This gets a bit messy. I would like the editor to restore my focus to the previously opened file / tab. In my book, I call this preserving Z-Order, so that the most recent documents / files are on 'top' of the others.

Reassigning to core/winsys for evaluation.

Valid enhancement, however we have no plans for working on it, so we invite community to work and provide patches.
