Deployment error on Windows
The J2EE deployment does not work on Linux (SAS 8.1_02) while on Windows there seems to be no problem. On Windows, I can not deploy the Web Application (SAS 8.1_02), see error2.png Could you attach the NetBeanss log file? In youur initial report, you indicate that you see a bunch of errors, but I don't see detailed info from this very impportant source. Please provide detailed info regarding your build (available from Help->About...) I have not been able to reproduce your issue. Without the log file, I am sort of stuck at this point. Another question: did you deploy this app via another IDE from a remote machine, or from another way as Netbeans? If you deployed this app before from a netbeans IDE, did you delete the user dir of this IDE? Jsr88 info is stored in the user dir... Finally, if you can undeploy this app either from the runtime tab or the Admin gui or CLI, can you deploy it again? This would be the workaround. The messages you see in the dialogs are from the app server backend itself, not NetBeans or NetBeans plugin. did you deploy this app via another IDE from a remote machine, or from another way as Netbeans? No. If you deployed this app before from a netbeans IDE, did you delete the user dir of this IDE? No. It was fisrt time, the J2EE App was deployed to App Srv, the same issue was on two different computers. No any other J2EE app was deployed or developed on that instance. Finally, if you can undeploy this app either from the runtime tab or the Admin gui or CLI, can you deploy it again? This would be the workaround. The application is not deployed. If I use web interface to log in into server, there is not app at all. Once, it gets deployed for the first time, it is usually possible to redeploy again. The J2EE guy saw that issue on their own eyes, with behavior described above. Just to add some data point: I can deploy this on XP. The error2.png might be link to a different issue where if a windows explorer is locking hte AS repository, AS cannot delete some files there at redeplou time. For me, I could run, and then re-deploy without issue. So it seems that the real issue is only on a linux system. Correct? Can you attach as well the domian.xml file (from the domains/domain1/config dir) This would help also a lot. Also, do you have a single cpu or a dual cpu system? Which linux? Finally, from the asadmin tool, with the ear file in the project dist/ dir, can you deploy this app outside NetBeans? I am trying to see of this is a server deploy bug or a netbeans bug... Thanks Cannot reproduce with the attached app on my laptop running Latest Ubuntu linux install... I can deploy, redeploy, run, see the deployed J2EE app. The score so far: Filer hasn't been able to reproduce. The filer hasn't provided the detailed forensic data, yet. I haven't been able to reproduce this issue on Solaris. Ludo hasn't been able to reproduce the issue on Windows or Ubuntu Linux. There have been issues in the past that resemble this issue, based on the symptoms. Without access to the logs and/or detailed steps to reproduce this, I am stuck. Waiting for better diagnostic data or a reproducable case to be reported. No additional info in the last 2 months, closing as WORKSFORME. |
