Providing support for such a query would require (persistent) list of all classes in the package -- that would require to parse all .java files in that package which is *very* time consuming operation. The query "does class Blah exists" is a basic one and it is evaluated many times, so performing parsing on the whole package would cause major performance penalty. Priority is changed to P4 (normal).
