When I try to change the name of Source Packages 
(in the Properties dialog) NetBeans gives a 
NullPointerException.

You can rename Source Packages? I cannot. Can you provide steps to
reproduce, please? Thanks

> Change the projectname in the field Name and confirm with Enter
> The first few times I tried this I got a NullPointerException and the

It is not possible to change name of project in recent builds.

Reorganization of java component
