Add a watch which points to an array (or a class), start the debugger by Trace Into, expand the watch in DebuggerWindow/Watches.
Continue with debugging by Trace Over. You can see that the watch is not collapsed when the debugger runs.

JPDA only, using Standard Debugger - watches are collapsed.
Comment 1 Marek Grummich 2000-07-25 09:09:59 UTC
Priority is changed to P4 (normal).
Comment 2 Daniel Prusa 2000-08-01 11:01:59 UTC
[1065] We never collaps watches using JPDA or Tools Debugger now.
Comment 3 Quality Engineering 2003-06-30 17:36:22 UTC
Resolved for 3.3.x or earlier, no new info since then -> closing.
