In 3.6 you can right-click a file and choose Save
As Template to make a template from it. You can
also copy and paste and edit templates in the
Options dialog. Need to check whether the same
scenarios continue to work somehow in D, and file
bugs as needed.

Jirka worked on that and it probably should work. I.e. one is able to
create templates by copy paste and save as template

Clearly this did not happen for D! Anyway, no known problems, so closing.

This issue was solved long time ago. Because nobody has reopened it neither
added comments, we are verifying/closing it now. 
If you are still able to reproduce the problem, please reopen.
