is defining -> P1 one use case: suppose I have a html FileObject. netbeans has following list of webbrowser services: 1. Swing HTML Browser 2. Internet Explorer 3. Netscape Navigator 4. ICE Browser Different users might want to open the same file using different browser of their choice. The OpenAPI contains NewAction, which lists array of NewType[] similary why don't we have OpenWithAction,with lists array of OpenAs[] Suppose I have different modules installed for editing a particular file. for examle using text editor, tree editor and graph editor. then user should be given a choice to choose his favourite editor depending upon his requirement. in my opinion this is out of scope of the multiview APIs and the multiview module. The decision what is put inside the multiview component is done on the html module side or whoever is the creator of the multiview component instance. Surely this is STARTED. :-) *** Issue 20248 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** core work done, waiting for #42154 - docking of editor toolbar into multiviews. all subissues closed, closing as well.
