Description kbatizy 2003-06-26 16:51:52 UTC
There is all kind of odd behavior regarding
navigating in the menus.
The selected option is not highlighted correctly.

Sometimes two horizontally adjacent menu items are
highlighted at the same time. (see video "View"
and "Project")

Sometimes, nothing is highlighted (see video at
the last frame)

Sometimes, the highlighted item
disappears--white-on-white (see video throughout)

Sometimes, a little artifact appears (see video at
16-17 second mark)

I have prepared a Quicktime video at the URL that
demonstrates these behaviors. If this is JDK
related, then bugs need filed with Apple as well.

This is using Apple JDK:

java version "1.4.1_01"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition
(build 1.4.1_01-58.1)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.1_01-21,
mixed mode)

Two things.
The quicktime movie on above address does not exist.
I see you are using 1.4.1DP102. Did you observe this problems before installing DP102?

Tomas, the movie was there (someone from boron.eu.sun.com even viewed
it) but the ISP had a crash last night and restored from a 24 hour old
tape.....I have restored the movie to the URL listed here.

Also, I am using the latest JDK DP (build 1.4.1_01-58.1).
I did not try SunOne Studio 5 until after upgrading the JDK.

Tomas, I know you read java-dev@lists.apple.com, and perhaps you are
more qualified to file a bug against the JDK with Apple if this is
indeed a JDK issue--I will file this there as well.

I just saw the movie. The problem with the menu items highlight is definitely JDK issue
and it is regression of DP102. It is already reported. The same is valid for horizontally
adjacent menu problem.
