Switching workspaces using the Aqua look and feel causes an 
ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException to be thrown. 

To reproduce start the IDE using the Aqua L&F. Open any project and then switch 
between the workspace using the menu tabs.

Using the Metal L&F appears to be a temporary workaround, as it works as expected.

I'm 99% sure that adding the following line to ide.cfg improves the stability of the 
NetBeans IDE when switching workspaces.  It's not perfect after adding it, but it seems 
to improve.

-J-Dapple.laf.useScreenMenuBar=true

Because Window System v1 will not be supported from now by our team, all old
winsys issues (now "core/window system v1" issues) are going to be closed as
WONTFIX. 

Changes in API which emerged both from UI spec 
and problems with adjusting to the older API are described in the document
http://core.netbeans.org/windowsystem/changes.html.
 It shows also recommends how the client code should be adjusted to the new
window system.

If you think this issue apply also to the new winsys then change the
subcomponent (to "core/window system") and REOPEN it.

I cannot reproduce it with latest JDK 1.4.2 DP1 release and NB 3.5.1. So it seems to be 
fixed in new 
JDK.

This issue had *4 votes* before move to platform component
