When installing Netbeans 3.4.1 on my machine, it hung 
when 'next' was clicked on the page when the destination 
directory of the files is set unless I selected the 
checkbox 'import settings from previous version' (I had 
previous versions installed). I did not want to copy 
settings however, and have now deleted all previos 
versions of Netbeans. The installation wizard will still 
not progress past the directory selection page.

Alan, could you attach threads dump. Push CTRL + Break keys in windows
console where is runned netbens.

What jdk do you use? There is known problem with jdk1.4.1 and installer.
