Description Marian Mirilovic 2003-03-06 10:19:12 UTC
Issue has been transferred from BugTraq:
http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/bugParade/bugs/4788331.html
----------------------------------------------

Description:
When the IDE is up full screen, the user sees multiple locations for status
information:
1. there's an output window for server logs and compiler output
2. there's also a place at the top of the screen for status messages.

It's optically confusing to the user to scan both places; you're not sure when
you should be looking at each location.

Comments:
it would be helpful if the status messages were logged somewhere so that the
user could go back and review them, in case they weren't looking when the
message flashed by!

It is more design issue. Could be handled in new winsys design.
