This happens on Linux only. The entire mechanism for notification etc will be changed as a result of resolving 28582, so I will mark this as dependent on that bug. There is not much point trying to resolve this one in isolation. This one is "fixed" because of the change to the notification mechanism. However, on all platforms, it will be necessary to restart the web server to get the monitor to record again once the internal server port has been changed (docs alert!). I will submit a separate RFE for the monitor to show a dialog perhaps if it is showing and the internal port has been changed. Ana could you please confirm that this is still release note worthy? If so, is the following accurate?: If you change the internal port server during an IDE session, you need to restart the web server to get the HTTP monitor to resume recording transactions. The info is correct. I'm not sure if it's release note material, I assume that it won't happen all that often, but you can put it in there if you wish. Note that it only applies to Tomcat in any case. If a user is declaring the monitor in the deployment descriptor manually, they have to change the declaration there. Removing RELNOTE keyword. v. |
