To create a jar, I use compile.  Why is build and
clean disabled?  I think I remember from earlier
versions that that is how to recreate the jar.  I
had to remove it from the filesystem (outside the
ide) and then compile again.

Agree, itsa bug. Will fix in the next version.

Rebuild works fine in new build system.
