I can not reproduce it on Wintel. Can you try it on Sun, Marek, please? I am not able to reproduce it on my Linux. However, I had to disabled a shortcut (Alt-F5) previously not to be consumed by my window manager (KDE). I'll try it later on Sun. I am not able to reproduce it on Solaris, because I don't know how to change an action that is tied with Alt-F5. The default action is 'Restore Window'. However, it has been already written when the shortcut is changed to another one, the debugger starts. can not reproduce probably conflict with some other software Comments from reporter: ------------------------------------- I downloaded the NetBeans IDE (3.5). Can reproduce this bug in it. Didn't see any fix to me. Same bug in Rainier, which is base on NB3.5. Hong ------------------------------------ Verified that Jan Lahoda's following guess is right: "As you are using Solaris, I suspect you are using either CDE or Gnome. But on both of these WM, the Alt-F5 shortcut is bound to a window manager action (on CDE it is Restore, that is usually disabled). The applications (not only NetBeans) does not recieve this shortcut at all and therefore they cannot react to it. You can verify this guess as follows: 1. You can assign another shortcut to the "Run in Debugger" action (in the menu: "Tools/Keyboard Shortcuts", in the tree "Debug/Run in Debugger", press "Add..." and choose for example ctrl-Alt-Shift-F5 shortcut). I tested this shortcut on Solaris/CDE and the action works perfectly." Hong I'm not sure why this was marked as invalid. It seems very undesirable to me that this common action can't be done on Solaris or various Linux window systems. Ok. I agree. But this is not classic bug for development, as you probably agree. -> Jano Jano, please evaluate. Thanks Will try to define a new shortcut for 3.6. Is there any new shortcut defined? will be fixed for nb40 fixed in trunk Verified ... and Closing all issues resolved into NetBeans 6.7 and earlier. |
