selection

When I split a window (vertically) and select a symbol in the top pane, the "find usages" is not available... unless something is selected in the bottom pane. Then regardless of what is selected in the top pane, the "Find Usages" dialog insists on searching whatever is selected in the bottom pane.

The first download shows the selection in the top pane; the second shows the dialog that will search for the wrong thing.
