IDE log
Tried to copy the content of said java file (Exercises.java) into a new file called Exercises2.java, and it opened fine in Netbeans IDE. When deleting the old and renaming Exercises2 to Exercises in Windows Explorer, Netbeans froze again after opening the new Exercises.java, which opened fine 2 minutes ago. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with code folding, from my experience. I can fix it temporarily by inserting random characters (at the first line of the file) and putting spaces in between the lines of the imports, but it'll eventually go back to freezing some time in the future. Also, it doesn't always work by doing this, you'll need to experiment. It's pretty frustrating, to say the least, and it's embarrassing that they haven't addressed this issue. I've had this issue for quite some time now, but the took the time out to create an account to rant about it. I found a workaround that works all the time. Whenever you encounter a .java file that you know that causes Netbeans to freeze when you try to view it in the IDE, quickly select all and cut. Netbeans won't freeze because there's nothing to read, just an empty .java file. Then, just undo the cut and all your code will go back.
