The maven index update fills my hard disk (> 50 Gb) as it is told in other tickets.

The problem appears, when you have an own artifactory which is much bigger then the official index (as it is in our company).

The plugin https://bitbucket.org/emilianbold/maven.search.remote only searches in the official maven repository (with the url as a string constant in the code).

In these environments is netbeans only with "Completely disable indexing" usable. 

A local cache of the complete maven index is not practicable.
