Each time I install the latest dev build, the installer asks for the JDK location. I often forget to configure this while hitting 'next' for a quick install.

The default location, according to the installer, is '/usr' (on a unix system), which, on my setup at least, is not correct. Failing to correctly set this value leads to later problems.

Is it not possible to store the previously configured path in the '~/.netbeans' folder and have the installer populate the value accordingly?

While I'm on the issue of storing the previous value. How about store all previous installer settings? I use both the Java SE and PHP modules. Since a prebuilt package containing ONLY these two doesn't exist, I have to use the full package and deselect those modules I don't want (glassfish, Java ME...). Again, low priority, but it would make switching versions a whole lot easier.
