What is the problem here? Why are you trying to _edit_ the NetBeans installer file? Or am I missing something? Simply reopen this issue, thanks. BTW to install the file, just type "sh <installerfile>.sh" in your terminal (or try to double-click the file). Thanks. Dear Tomas, I was not trying to edit the file. I was just installing Netbeans for PHP and this message popped up and halted the installer. Dave A BTW. Using Ubuntu 16.04 on a Dell laptop model 5520. Dual installation with Windows 7 Professional. So install it from command line, as I described in comment #2. It will work. Thanks. |
