Created attachment 161775 [details] small jpeg depicting the issue. When a syntax warning appears on the right hand side of the editor window, the syntax colour is overridden and the code background is changed to black; this renders the code unreadable. Possible causes are: darkular plugin, Jvi plugin, and darkilook and feel plugin. I have tried dis-activating them all to no avail. The code appears perfectly upon loading the program, it is when the warnings are loaded that the issue appears. I have only noticed this effect since starting to use netbeans for php, it was not apparent when coding in java,I have also tried to override this effect using the all language warning color option in the options colors and fonts menu, this worked at one point for the actual text, but nor for the whitespace. I will try to recreate the instance when it has worked for the text, so as to be able to continue coding. Thank you for your assistance. Yours sincerely, Iain Hill.
