This issue was reported manually by eduardogqf.
It already has 10 duplicates

I found the problem in my project, for some reason the server to run the project was missing(working before). 

In Projects >  > Contextual Menu > Propertes / Run / Server

The bug is why this configuration was lost.

The NPE was caused by JRebel NetBeans plugin and the bug is in versions 6.3.2-6.4.1. The fix will be in the next release, 6.4.2, but is also already available in nightly build, downloadable via https://zeroturnaround.com/software/jrebel/download/nightly-build/#!/netbeans.
