Ide exits unexpectedly on most attempts to compile or run Java.

Assuming a JVM crash. You are using an ancient version of JDK 8.

Upgrade your Java to to the latest JDK 8u51.

If JVM still crashes, Java process crash log is needed for the evaluation.
