Description Christian Lenz 2014-12-08 09:41:48 UTC
When I copy or move a file from one folder to an other and both files have the same name, for example I duplicate a file to reuse code and refactor it, I would like to have a dialog where I can choose "rename file/folder" or "overwrite" if a file or a folder with the same name exists inside the folder.

Netbeans always rename duplicated files to filename_1.ext. It's a pain in the ass, for example when I update fonts and all 4 files will be renamed, than I have to delete the old files and rename all other files. It would be better to have a dialog with a message: would you like to overwrite those files?

Regards

Chris

I figured out, that this is already existed for Java files, and maybe for other languages. This functionality, should be available for all types/files/folders, whatever.
