I am sorry, but I don't undesrstand what you exactly do. What do you mean by "I copy a field in explorer" ? file or field ? or "but is not currently showing as I am focused in the explorer" do you mean : You haven't opened Source Editor or Source Editor isn't visible (something else) ? Closing as INVALID , please answer my questions and write exactly steps to reproduce and REOPEN issue. Thank andvance. sorry, was typing on the way home on friday :) yes, copy a file in explorer using Ctrl-C. There is a source window open, and pressing Ctrl-V in the explorer pastes into the source window. I was trying to copy a file from one folder into another. I don't have beta 1 at home, so I'll get some succinct steps at work on Monday. It should be easy to replicate. I am sorry but I still not understand, are next steps right ? : - run IDE - open some java file <sampledir>/colorpicker/ColorPicker.java - select ColorPreview.java node in Explorer - press Ctrl+C - select folder texteditor - press Ctrl-V -> What now happend ? As you wrote : pasted file is opened or , some text is pasted to Source Editor at the cursor position , WHat text is pasted to Source Editor ? Well some new ideas, where is focus when you press Ctrl+V ? - if Source Editor is focused - it's right, copied class (source code) is pasted to the destination class. - if focus owner is Explorer and you really select target node-folder and text(source code of copied class) is pasted to the Source Editor it's a bug. - if focus owner is Explorer and you select destination node-class file - it's right, copied class (source code) is pasted to the destination class. Please answer my questions and thanks for your time. Hi, I've ben trying to replicate this, but its not as easy as I first thought! Just to clear it up: - copied a file from explorer - explorer was focused when I pasted - current clipboard contents was pasted into editor instead (nothing to do with copied explorer file) Since I can't replicate it, it might be best to close this, and if I can get it happening again, I will reopen the bug. Ok, I am closing as worksforme, if you find reproducible scenario, please reopen, thanks. Resolved for 3.3.x or earlier, no new info since then -> closing. Resolved for 3.4.x or earlier, no new info since then -> closing. |
