When disabling a hint via 'Disable "<hint>" hint', the hint is not cleared in the source file. One has to close and re-open the source file for the hint to disappear.

Hints are refreshed after any change to the source text. Automatic refresh after settings change is not yet implemented.

This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.

Still reproducible in current dev build.
