Description g_e_pii42 2013-11-14 20:32:43 UTC
Product Version = NetBeans IDE 7.4 (Build 201310111528)
Operating System = Windows 7 version 6.1 running on amd64
Java; VM; Vendor = 1.7.0_45
Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 24.45-b08

To keep up with Java versions I use a Windows Junction for the location of my Java Platform.
I filed a similar issue for Scene Builder.

If I add a direct path to the Java Platform all works fine.
If I try to use the junction pointing to the Java Platform, I get "Run" errors about not configuring the Java Platform.
I have checked the junction to assure that all the files showing up in the dialog are exactly the "real" files so I have the junction correct.

This is an annoying problem since things have to be changed each time Java is upgraded.
My guess is that other packages I handle this way fail also.
Eclipse works fine with the use of junctions for exactly the same projects.
