Screenshot of non-removable Toolbar

The toolbar at the bottom of the netbeans window is not removable like all the other. This costs valuable screen space, because the only thing visible is the String "INS" and sometimes a build progress bar, which should be able to be moved somewhere else.

what ?
Comment 2 Mahene 2013-09-19 17:46:43 UTC
In the screenshot i attached, you can see the area(long thin rectangle) in the bottom of the netbeans window, where it says "INS" on the right. This area serves no purpose other than displaying "INS" and sometimes a build progressbar. My point is that this area cannot be removed to free up the screen space like in other applications, e.g. for code.

No plans to change it, Standa ?
Comment 4 Stanislav Aubrecht 2013-09-23 08:26:27 UTC
In NetBeans 7.4 the status bar has been merged with the bar for minimized windows.
