Since EE6 it makes quite good sense to add into the Inser Code window new action which would permit generation and addition of the validation rules.

Since EE7 it's highly probably that validation rules will be usable almost everywhere in WebServices, Persistence, EJBs and thanks to news in CDI also at and in the method deifinitions.

So dialog like that could be likely widely used then.

This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.
