Description maxevron 2012-09-07 14:01:59 UTC
Product Version = NetBeans IDE 7.2 (Build 201207171143)
Operating System = Linux version 3.2.0-29-generic running on amd64
Java; VM; Vendor = 1.7.0_03
Runtime = OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM 22.0-b10

Currently, pressing the wheel mouse places the text cursor under the mouse cursor and then paste the active text selection. I believe it could be better if the mouse could behave as it does in a terminal window, i.e. simply paste the active text selection whitout moving the text cursor from its current position and, so, let the user decide if the text cursor needs to be moved (left button click + wheel click).

This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.
