I guess this is more related to Maven than to the editor. Files created through DataObject.createFromTemplate are passed through the appropriate formatter, AFAIK, but when a file is created by other means, it is the responsibility of the code that creates it to pass it through the formatter (see editor.indent), IMO. Thanks. we use maven archetypes to create new projects. Some have privileged position and their own wizard entry but most are just entries in the list in the Project from Archetype wizard. related to issue 208462, however neither solves what to do with the rest of the archetypes. This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue. Thanks for your cooperation, NetBeans IDE 8.2 Release Boss |
Product Version: NetBeans IDE 7.1.2 (Build 201204101705) Java: 1.6.0_31; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 20.6-b01-415 System: Mac OS X version 10.7.4 running on x86_64; MacRoman; ka_GE (nb) tried to create new maven java application; the generated App.java doesn't use the default ide formatting, no author field in comments and looks like: /** * Hello world! * */ public class App { public static void main( String[] args ) { System.out.println( "Hello World!" ); } } Also should not it give the opportunity to user to choose class name in wizard?
