During the first start of the IDE only the default location will be searched for. I think that this covers most of the users. In the opposite case the experience will be bad as all users will be asked to specify a custom user dir to import settings from, increasing the first start time. If some user has a custom non-default user-dir set then he can import settings using the Import/Export functionality from the Tools->Options dialog. Thank you |
