the results returned to simple queries like "wicket", "maven", "wagon" return results alphabetically based on groupId. The results with the highest score appear in the middle or end of the result list.

This issue is filed to experiment with the results returned by nexus, without sorting them on our side.

searchIteratorPaged() in nexus' DefaultSearchEngine returns ArtifactInfo instance with the luceneScore property filled in..

This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.
