It would probably bring new regressions by compiling JSPs. But since there is needs for JSF library wouldn't be correct solution to define dependency on the web.jsf20 library? So the library itself wouldn't uninstalled together with JSF support. This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.
