I'm developing a very small desktop application that should have a very minimalistic look - an of course it should have a proper L&F on Mac OS X.

Unfortunately, there's an annoyinh dark gray border that I can't how to remove:

I see it also in the NetBeans IDE, but I thought it was part of the tab displayer - but as you can see I've installed a NoTabDisplayerUI to prevent TopComponent tabs from appearing.

that space is reserved for sliding bars. try removing sliding modes from your layers and these borders might go away.
