This bug was originally marked as duplicate of bug 182525, that is already resolved. This bug is still valid, so this seems to be another bug, but it might be related.

kevindoyleie: any update to a file kicks off a scanning projects which means that netbeans is virtually unusable until it finishes.  Becomming very annoying at this stage.
