most probably remote pty permissions was not set, investigating, is it sill reproducible with 7.0.1? psrch, what OS is on a remote host you are accessing? Could you try to ssh to that host and invoke /var/tmp/dlight_root/1c3eca41/pty? What is the result? Thanks, =Andrew "most probably remote pty permissions was not set, investigating, is it sill reproducible with 7.0.1?" Yes, it still happens "psrch, what OS is on a remote host you are accessing? Could you try to ssh to that host and invoke /var/tmp/dlight_root/1c3eca41/pty? What is the result? Thanks, =Andrew" I get the following: "/var/tmp/dlight_root/1c3eca41/pty: Permission denied" Thanks. Does this file have execution permissions? (ls -l <file>) And what is the remote OS? =Andrew File permissions are: -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 11488 Jul 13 16:29 /var/tmp/dlight_root/1c3eca41/pty OS is Linux alpha.siteoneinternet.com 2.6.18-128.1.6.el5 #1 SMP Wed Apr 1 09:10:25 EDT 2009 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux Basically, CentOS 5.7 running with cPanel / WHM Oh well. CentOS is unsupported platform and we never tried to use it ;( If you want to help us to somehow [try to] support it, we can dig slightly deeper, but unlikely we will spend a lot of time on this.. But as a second step - could you, please, run this script: netbeans/ide/bin/nativeexecution/hostinfo.sh and post it's output. Next step is to try to compile pty (on your centos) from sources: (in netbeans tree in dlight.nativeexecution/tools/PtySupport) Maybe you'll have to modify code for this though... [Unfortunately I know nothing about CentOS] I will set priority to P4.. It sounds like there might be a bit of miscommunication... I'm running Netbeans on a Mac OS X 10.6, trying to access a CentOS server via SSH. I ran that script, and this is the output I received: BITNESS=64 CPUFAMILY=x86 CPUNUM=8 CPUTYPE=i386 HOSTNAME=Paul-Srchs-MacBook-Pro.local OSNAME=MacOSX OSBUILD=Darwin Kernel Version 10.8.0 OSFAMILY=MACOSX USER=paul SH=/bin/bash USERDIRBASE=/Users/paul TMPDIRBASE=/var/tmp/dlight_paul/ DATETIME=2011-10-07 14:29:11 ENVFILE=/var/tmp/dlight_paul//env ID=uid=501(paul) gid=20(staff) groups=20(staff),204(_developer),100(_lpoperator),98(_lpadmin),81(_appserveradm),80(admin),79(_appserverusr),61(localaccounts),12(everyone),401(com.apple.access_screensharing),402(com.apple.sharepoint.group.1) |
